The Samsung 980 1TB is a high-performance PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD designed for gaming, productivity, content creation and everyday high-speed computing. With 1TB of storage capacity, it provides ample space for operating systems, applications, games, photographs, videos and other large files. The SSD reaches sequential read speeds of up to 3,500MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 3,000MB/s, delivering substantially faster performance than traditional SATA storage. The 980 uses Samsung V-NAND, a DRAM-less architecture and Host Memory Buffer (HMB) technology. Intelligent TurboWrite 2.0 helps improve sustained write performance, while Samsung Magician provides tools for drive monitoring, optimization and firmware updates. The 1TB model is rated for 600TBW and comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
