The Western Digital WD Red Plus 2TB WD20EFPX is a NAS-optimized 3.5-inch internal hard drive designed for 24×7 operation in NAS systems. With 2TB of storage capacity, it provides dependable storage for documents, media, backups, business data and other files in network-attached storage environments. The drive uses CMR recording technology, making it well suited to RAID and NAS workloads. The WD20EFPX features a SATA 6Gb/s interface, 5400RPM rotational speed and 64MB cache, with an internal transfer rate of up to 175MB/s. WD Red Plus drives are designed for RAID-optimized NAS systems with up to 8 bays and are rated for workloads of up to 180TB per year. They also incorporate Rotational Vibration (RV) sensors to help maintain reliability in multi-drive NAS environments.
